The operator metadata published in the community-operator catalog uses the older (and deprecated?) metadata format. Given the newer bundle format has now been around some time and is preferred for new operators, it might be advantagous going forward to migrate this catalog to the bundle format.

This would make releases easier to facilitate given the bundle-generation scaffolding is available as part of this project.
