Even if there's no other code changes, when you run make generate-doc you'll see changes on resources/traits.yaml:

$ make generate-doc
$ git status -s
 M resources/traits.yaml

Ideally it should output the deterministic result so that any meaningful changes are easily traceable from the git history.
