Is helix possible to support etcd or consul? #2525

Currently helix is based on zookeeper, is it possible to support other components such as etcd or consul, because they are more more lightweight.

We are working on abstraction layer and you can implement etcd/consul based functionality. This is work-in-progress from Helix team at LinkedIn. thanks

@shuitai Would like to clarify that even it is generic client. We will have all APIs ready but not have the implementation.

Also that client is just for metadata read/write client, it is not fully replaced the usage in Helix as now. If you are looking for short term usage, unfortunately, the answer is no...
