Metabase BI supports semantic types and define some of them https://www.metabase.com/docs/latest/users-guide/field-types.html

It include several types of financial types of fields:

  • Cost
  • Share
  • Discount
  • Income

And some others. These semantic types should be reviewed and added to the registry

Added all semantic types: cost, price, share, income, discount, grossmargin, score and quantity
