Hi @serossi, if you are satisfied by OBS feel free to use it. This tool is not meant to replace OBS. But this tool was created because OBS did not work for me here. This tool captures two use cases: a) You present live code on an extra screen or projector. This tool is much easier to setup than OBS. It also shows a border around the captured area of the main screen. This allows me to put my live coding notes on the remaining screen space. b) Teaching with 3 monitors independent of the tool used. I use the big screen for controlling slides, IDEs and notes. The laptop screen for Teams, Skype, Jitsi or Big Blue Button and the presentation screen is permanently shared with the audience. Also this tool reduces the CPU load which allows me to run compilers and continue to talk and teach without to much fan noise. Also capturing a window won't work to show extra consoles or the window of the developed application. I hope I could clarify the use case a bit. If OBS works for you enjoy it as well. |

Ive testet ur tool because i wanted to see if there is any latency difference in the API´s used. However, the Placement and usability is finicy at best and its really not easier to setup. A) While you could do the same in OBS with manual placement in an area (like crop a part of a full screen capture) it is meant to use different scenes and windows you simply add with a click or even a script B) you can do the same thing in OBS, you either project into an entire screen or just a window or borderless window. as for CPU both uses basically the same, OBS has almost no overhead just as a plain capture manager. the window capture and display itself is in both cases managed by windows anyway however ur tool cannot capture every window. fullscreen and elevated screens are hidden. i guess its the way you talk to the API. Dont wanna bash you, after all its ur time and all. Just saying, maybe getting familar with OBS would benefit you even in ur usecase. |

I hate to break it for you. But this app is pointless.
What you wanna do can be done a lot better with OBS
You can capture an area or a distinc window (and even just an area within this window) or dozent of other sources and project it full screen to another screen (or /and stream / record)
while offering a lot better gui
