Goal of this video is to explain open governance at AsyncAPI but instead, we only touch a surface here. We only say that we "give power to the people" and that is it. IMHO not enough for a training material. We should go into details, explain that we choose committee
based open governance model, how people are appointed. Best also have an image of the list of the members that we have on the website
get some inspirations from https://www.asyncapi.com/blog/governance-motivation

@derberg Thank you for your great feedback. I will restructure and rewrite the script based on your suggestions. |
Former videos 5 and 6 have been merged, creating a new script about open governance and transparency.

## What is transparency | ||

Organizational transparency can be defined as "a deliberate attempt by the organization to create an environment of trust in which to promote free access to information, open communication, and the participation of all professionals in decision-making." |

if we have a quote, we need to remember to show it in video and share the source

I agree with you. It's not a literal quote. I read some articles about this and the general idea of the definition I got from OECD. So I removed the quotation marks.
I'm also missing in the script important thing that was in us when designing open governance, important to mention IMHO -> in https://www.asyncapi.com/blog/governance-motivation I wrote something like
maybe mention it when you explain that we have TSC, that we choose that TSC consists of maintainers to make sure it consists of not only people that are sponsored by their companies, but also individual contributors that work on the project equally hard, mostly in spare time |

Hi! I created this animation for the video: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1gIhXOzgnSjObETLSrgE1doZcDbJMJNla?usp=sharing. What do you think? |
omg it's so cute! I don't feel qualified to give critique on animations just yet tho... Oh, one thing I would change is the color of the bus. It is a blue that doesn't seem to display the dark AsyncAPI logo version well... is that an easy change? One idea: what if the bus also had a banner that said: "Board the OSS Bus," or something similar? i am curious what others will think! |
Thanks for your feedback, @alequetzalli. I changed the AsyncAPI logo to the clear version, and it looks much better 🙂 I added the banner to the bus too. See what you think! |
