A few UI improvements to the toolkit:

  • Remove a few emojis (sorry @RomainMuller) to
    reduce clutter.
  • Make output more concise.
  • Add "Creating changeset..." (because it takes ages)
  • Improve log view, align columns
  • Print resource path in log view
  • Clean up asset logs
  • Tone down colors a little

Thanks for the screenshot!

The STATUS column looks HUGE now. Please tell me it's based off actual terminal width? If you based it off of the longest possible status, I think we're now sacrificing screen space for things that occur rarely, which I think is a bad tradeoff.

Also, I think we don't have to have both | and [AWS::IAM::Thing] next to each other. There's already a vertical bar, one is enough.. That saves us 2 characters :)

Also, can't we just strip off AWS:: from the start of all CFN resources?

I'm not in favor of dropping the AWS:: prefix (there may be custom resources with clashing names).

  1. Shortened the status column to 20 (and trimming any longer statuses.... I think that's fine).
  2. I agree with Romain about not removing the AWS prefix
  3. Changed the resource type to a proper column by precalculating the longest resource type.

* The ec2.Connections object has been changed to be able to manage multiple
  security groups. The relevant property has been changed from `securityGroup`
  to `securityGroups` (an array of security group objects).
* **aws-codecommit:** This modifies the default behavior of the CodeCommit
  Action.  It also changes the internal API contract between the
  aws-codepipeline-api module and the CodePipeline Actions in the service
  packages.
* **applets:** The applet schema has changed to allow Multiple applets can be
  define in one file by structuring the files like this:

  applets in the same file.

The schema now looks like this:

      MyApplet:
        type: ./my-applet-file

By starting an applet specifier with npm://, applet modules can
