It took me a while to figure out that
'malformed node or string: <_ast.Attribute object at 0x7fe291a33518>' means I had just mistyped the path to my json template.

Thanks for the feedback. I assume this is for the Azure CLI? You might open an issue directly on their GitHub repo.
