Is this extension still working for you? If so, are you on the latest Civi version?

I tested and it removes the from email address for all users even if they have the site Site From Email Address

Then it subsequently fails because from email address is a required field.

@andyburnsco this extension is currently unmantained. The last version compatible is CiviCRM 4.7.25. The maintenance was very hard and I can't sustain it. Instead I opened an issue at https://lab.civicrm.org/dev/core/issues/198 wishing someday that is integrated at core. Feel free to comment on it to push the interest on it.
