Learning javascript starter workshop #2
Comments
This https://gist.github.com/chrisdickinson/821359fb8d95570ab22a was written by my mentor @chrisdickinson as part of my on-boarding process. It's already built to run on the command line, so I'd imagine it wouldn't be too painful to translate with workshopper. Further, it encourages writing the type of JavaScript that plays nicely with the rest of nodeschool.io! |
FYI, I also just got feedback from GDI SF where they hosted a 2-day self-paced JS course; they used pair programming and resources from Khan Academy (see event description here: http://www.meetup.com/Girl-Develop-It-San-Francisco/events/164991642/). Happy to find out more or share more of their resources if it's helpful. |
I was gonna base a intro to JS workshop on this talk I gave: slides: http://maxogden.github.io/slides/empirejs/ the talk is about http://jsforcats.com I probably won't have time in the immediate future to spearhead this, but On Wed, Mar 19, 2014 at 7:39 AM, Angelique notifications@github.com wrote:

This discussion doesn't have to live here forever since it's not technically Baltimore-specific, but we can start it here. So far we have a few resources to look at and think about how to build on for this workshop:
What are the details around this problem that needs to be solved?
