I got "Unable to connect to backend" error on my test server.
Sometimes it shows "Unable to connect to backend. Backend not found."
I usually develop with XAMPP on window 7 machine and CKEditor 4.
In develop, work perfect, but I upload into test server, I got error.
Configuration is very basic and nothing changed.

How can I fix the error ?

How to update elFinder to 2.1_n ? Which folder which archive ?

"barryvdh/laravel-elfinder": "0.1.x",

I'm changed that option to 2.1.x but not find to that version.

What is the difference with the _n versions? You can't config that, I manually copy the php and public files from the nightly releases.

I'm fixed. elfinder/connector cant accessing for my " before " rule. The error message is " cannot connect to backend "is not have mean.

but now when I'm access to

elfinder/connector page coming that text :

{"error":["errUnknownCmd"]}

this is true ? and are you see any problem ?

and what is the roots and other configs for what ?

You can't open the connector directly, it is used by elFinder to show the files. The roots and other config are extra options, by default it uses public/files as folder.
