Set up a demo page with default settings to make such points (like issue #30 ) visible for all.

Setup instructions used:

  • create a mysql database
  • download and unzip the latest version of WordPress to your http_public dir
  • visit your domain and follow the instruction to create a Configuration file
  • copy the Configuration file to your http_public dir and run install (visit your domain again)
  • demojbst@da01:/public_html$ cd wp-content/themes/
    demojbst@da01:
    /public_html/wp-content/themes$ git clone https://github.com/bassjobsen/jamedo-bootstrap-start-theme.git
  • go to your dashboard and active JBST
  • http://demo.jbst.eu/wp-admin/nav-menus.php?menu=2 create a menu
    Open the customizer and add the menu from ) under navigation
  • go to plugins/
    • download WooCommerce unzip to this dir:
    • activate woocommerce (choose install pages)
    • add the shop page to your menu
  • Install WordPress Importer 0.6.1 via Tools > import
    import dummy_data.xml from your woocommerce zip archive (check Download and import file attachments)
  • install plugins:
    go to your plugin dir and run
  • Update your permalink setting and .htaccess after activating Buddypress
  • Add the Buddypress Activity and Member pages to your menu.
