Would it be possible to start/stop video recording then save it as .mp4 or something similar?

Hi @NTXAggie,

Thanks for raising this. So far this feature is not supported but I‘d like to research a little bit to see if I could add it.

I‘ll leave this issue open for now to keep you posted.

Thank you, from my research you would be a great solution for one of our needs. For now we are going with Uppy.io which is overkill IMO just to record video.

Hi guys,

I just added some functionality that might be similar to your request - video capturing support with webm-mediatype (no audio).

I am not fully happy with the code since it requires "whammy" and possibly doesnt meet the code quality of this project.

Please have a look on pull draft #51 an tell me how to improve.

Addition to record video - if A custom HTML overlay on camera preview comes would be better.
Example: scores displaying in live matches streaming.
