I would really like the ability to use emojicons in future EarthBound Text gifs.

Thanks.

Hey @w4ffl35, thanks for the suggestion. I can't imagine that standard emoji would feel very "EarthBound-y" in the generator. I'm pulling the glyphs for the text generator from glyphs programmed directly into the game, and I think I'd like to support more of those before I go on adding new glyphs.

Also, given the detail of emoji, I don't know if it would look out of place given the pixelation of EB text boxes in general.

I'll keep this open in case I get the urge to put any non-canon glyphs in the generator. Thanks.

"I'm pulling the glyphs for the text generator from glyphs programmed directly into the game, and I think I'd like to support more of those before I go on adding new glyphs." aaah this was my intention rather than requesting 'non-canon glyphs'. Adding those seems to be an entirely different beast than just utilizing the the rest of the glyphs in flavored/plain.png!

Yeah, adding the existing glyphs in flavored/plain.png would be easier and more logical. I have received requests for the saturn font portion as well. It's just a matter of coding in the offsets, mapping in the inputs that correspond to these, and probably creating a switch for the Saturn font.

One other idea I've had is to create a WYSIWYG editor for this so you can see the formatting of what you'll turn into a gif text box. That way, extra characters could be placed in the editor without having some weird, complex entity system. That way having something like the SMAAAAASH graphic would be easy to do.

I need to go through and turn this whole beast from a weekend project into something real.
