pregap detection freezes, drive vanishes from system config (on Hitachi LG drives) #54

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. insert audio CD
2. File>Open Audio CD

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Application freezes, system no longer finds SuperDrive installed on system.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
20111015 on OS X 10.7.2

Please provide any additional information below.

I see the exact same issue. ONly recovery seems to be to reboot my Mac Mini

Well, this seems to occur only with LG drives. The problem won't be fixed until 
I buy the LG drive.

Use without pregap detection at the moment.

I am also seeing this on 138.1 using Mid 2010 Mac mini 10.7.2

On first attempt, build 120102 works quite well! Thanks! I'll update if 
anything further arises, but I'm cautiously optimistic!

Well, this build disables MCN/ISRC detection.

If this build works, it means that Apple's MCN/ISRC detection routine is bad. 
I'll switch to my own routine...

I tried some more after my recent comment after I had a successful rip with it. 
I noticed that  if I changed CD in my slot drive the old problem was back. I 
had to reboot to even get the CD to eject.

The newest version works better. I'm on the third CD in a row now. Works great!
