Feature request : Android apk to control bettercap

Hi guizzo,

I opened an issue (here) in bettercap repo to request a new feature, and @yungtravla recommended me to contact you.

Bettercap is very suitable for use on small devices, like RP ZW, and i would love to easily use it on the field. The idea is to control bettercap through an android apk, like @eliddell1 made for his own proof of concept here. Your GUI is very cool IOT control throught a bigger screen, but maybe not adaptable for a smartphone.

In addition, it would be advantageous for sharing smartphone position with bettercap (GPS/WIFI/BTS location...) without add a specific GPS hardware.

What do you think about it? ... And do you plan to developp an android application? ;-)

thanks for your suggest!

I think the Bettercap + Hydra combo it's very useful and funny to use, and the idea behind them it's to offer to the community the possibility to use Bettercap on (almost) every device, from the smallest one to the bigger.

So, now Hydra it's only a prototype developed for desktop use, not yet mobile-friendly..for now ;)

But in our mental roadmap, Hydra can be comfortly used on mobile device.

In this days i'm very busy with my official job, sadly ;(

But, in a not too distant future, i will return to dedicate the time it deserves to Hydra!

I will definitively stay tuned guizzo.
I have another question because on the field, you like to associate location with technical data you received during a pentest path (eg. locate WIFI AP monitored like wardriving).
And it's cool because Bettercap is able to do this if you provide location information.

Two options as far as i can see:

• plug specific GPS hardware to the device running bettercap
• share smartphone location with the device running bettercap

The last option is easier for a user point of view and an android apk can ask location permission IOT share it with bettercap. Do you think it will be possible with Hydra in your mental roadmap? :)
