No idea what "main content", means... Now in this folder I only copied the data files, but when I put bstone.exe in my original DOS installation. Same thing happens. At least for AOG. Oddly enough, when I copied the bstone.exe file into Planet Strike (original DOS installation) it does start up.

I'm not quite sure why this happens.

I suspect you are trying to use a modified map set (MAPHEAD.BS6, MAPTEMP.BS6).
It won't work.
Make sure you have original game files.
Put modified map set into separate directory and point to it in the command line (i.e., bstone.exe --mod_dir <dir_with_modified_files> ...).

Hmm, I never modified those files (I have a separate folder in which I experimented with home made levels) in the folder I tried. The original BS Stone engine in DOS does also not note the files as being modified (which it does in the modified versions I have).

Now I've checked the original game in DOSBox and as you can see in the screenshot I have version 2.00R.

This was a later version of Blake Stone, which I do not know if this engine supports it, and I also know that this version was also notorious for some bugs the earlier versions did not have.

I shall try again later though to make absolutely sure I have the original files.

I added SHA-1 values to README for supported versions.

Confirmed: on 1.2.12/13 - the error is the same as in the first post. And with version 1.2.11 - this error...

Fixed, see #435 for new binaries.

@Tricky1975 The version on the screenshot you attached in #435 is slightly outdated (~4 months or more).

Please check the recent builds.

Odd, since when I posted that, I downloaded the most recent version I could find, but I'll try it again later today.
