Lookup component

I'm a python/django developer.
HTMX fits perfectly my model, it enhances and almost takes out all javascript.

I just need to implement a lookup component, a select component that i can type to narrow the search, I already saw the examples on search and coordinated selects, but not quite that.
Currently I use select2, but i would rather to that in htmx, is that possible?
