Correction: 16S does appear in the Select Data Type, so we should just add Amplicon Sequencing as the investigation type for now I think. |
This is a list from EBI so I assume INSDC. I believe the EBI data type
list has also changed as follows:
- DNA/RNA sequence <https://www.ebi.ac.uk/submission/#>
- Expression data <https://www.ebi.ac.uk/submission/#>
- Protein data <https://www.ebi.ac.uk/submission/#>
- Structures <https://www.ebi.ac.uk/submission/#>
- Systems <https://www.ebi.ac.uk/submission/#>
- Chemical biology <https://www.ebi.ac.uk/submission/#>
- Ontologies <https://www.ebi.ac.uk/submission/#>
- Multi-omics or other cross-domain study

When adding a new 16S prep template, the most common thing that happens in Qiita, we want users to click on the option of 'Other' for the Investigation type, and when they do, they click Amplicon Sequencing from a menu that contains an extra blank space and does not indicate 16S in any way. 16S amplicon sequencing should be an option from the first dropdown, and perhaps the subtype could be which V or something rather than the current options. Screenshots below.
