This pull request addresses issue #1737

  • I hereby agree to dual licence this and any previous contributions under both

  • I have read the CONTRIBUTING.rst file and understand that AppVeyor and
TravisCI will be used to confirm the Biopython unit tests and flake8 style
    checks pass with these changes.

  • I have added my name to the alphabetical contributors listings in the files

This looks great - I don't understand why AppVeyor does not seem to have run, but that should be OK.

Do you want to add yourself to the NEWS.rst and CONTRIB.rst, or should I merge this as is?

Ideally the AppVeyor tests would have run, but otherwise this looks fine.

You can merge as is. I don't understand why AppVeyor fails too, I guess it may be some merge conflicts
