I am likely to write a few generic WDL tasks as part of my own work. Is this repo suitable for contributions, or are these tasks specific to your project?

Yes, we would greatly appreciate any contributions! These tasks were intended to be generic/reusable for other projects. So if you have any non-project specific tasks, please do make a pull request.
