Describe your issue as much as you can

Hi i need to migrate a Bitnami WordPress Multisite 5.2-1 instance to the latest version. I can't find any documentation to migrate a multisite wordpress instance to a new Ec2 instance. Can you please advice?

You can follow this guide to migrate your data

https://docs.bitnami.com/general/how-to/migrate-wordpress/

However, the plugin is not free for Multisite. You can contact the WordPress' developers for alternatives or you can simply migrate your database and the new files included inside the /opt/bitnami/wordpress folder

Hi thanks for you answer,
On the old server 5.2.1 the files are in the opt\bitnami\apps\wordpress\htdocs\wp-content\ directory
For the new server I don’t see this structure but I see the /bitnami/wordpress/wp-content directory
Is this the one to move the files?

The directory structure changed some years ago. Now, all WordPress' files are inside /opt/bitnami/wordpress.

  • The files from /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs were moved to /opt/bitnami/wordpress
  • The files from /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/conf were moved to /opt/bitnami/apache/conf/vhosts/

I hope this helps
