Picked up a OUVISLITE Mini PC on amazon while waiting to be able to acquire any coral or an odyssey.. Wanted to report in case others are looking or you want to add to the hardware list.
The item:
"Mini PC with Windows 10 Pro (8GB DDR4/128GB M.2 SSD) Equip with Intel Celeron J4125 Up to 2.7GHz, Small Portable Desktop Computer, with Windows 11, Ethernet, Dual Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 4K Support"
It seems to regularly go on lighting deals for under $200, I paid $186.99.
With cpu detectors it gets almost identical, slightly better, "interface speed" to my hyper-v VM running on a dell poweredge r610, configured to 10vpus and 8gb ram. I ran them both at the same time with identical config files and the cpu's were all showing 135-155 "interface speed" with this mini PC generally 5-10 lower than the VM.
Both this machine and my VM seem to work fine with CPU detectors with 7 cameras, mix of 8MP and 4MP, 4k record, 720p stream, 640x380 detect (all Hikivision).
My plan was to pop in a SATA SSD for the OS drive and swap the nvme ssd for the coral if it would fit. Unfortunately, it appears the standoff is not at 30mm, but slightly longer. I was also hoping the wifi chip might have an A+E connection, but I couldnt find it. I think I still can run the dual tpu coral that I have on order in here (only getting 1 side) if I fab something to adjust the standoff (or maybe there are adapters on the market).
One thing to consider, it is a single NIC. For my home setup I will probably keep using the VM (assuming I can get a coral to it at some point) due to this limitation. I have a second remote setup I may use this machine for.
If you purchase this one or similar, to open it you need to peel back the rubber feet to access the screws below.
Just posting in case someone was considering picking one of these up. Let me know if you want me to try anything else on it.
