2012-02-02: Aperte Workflow & Modeler BETA2

BETA2 is a significant milestone for Aperte Workflow and consists of all of the features required for version 1.0. Version 1.0 will be released after a short stabilization period. Go to Quick start guide for more information about installation and deployment.

Most important highlights and improvements are:

  • Aperte Workflow Modeler - a complete, web based process design environment. Aperte Workflow Modeler allows users to build, deploy and test processes in minutes, while still supporting the open architecture and plugins provided by Aperte Workflow.
  • Support for JBoss 5.1
  • Support for Liferay 6.1.0 CE and Liferay 6.0.12 EE
  • Support for MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle and Hypersonic RDBMS
  • Integrated Lucene search - with respect to roles and permissions configured on a process
  • ProcessData Widget comes with visual editor for its definitions
  • Support for Java Transaction API on Tomcat (Bitronix) and JBoss AS
  • Process instance console, available in Liferay Control Panel. The console also allows the Administrator to view process progression on a process map, cancel the process, or manage (reassign, force execution) human tasks for any process instance.
  • Plugin manager console available in Liferay Control Panel
  • Process definition manager console, available in Liferay Control Panel
  • lots of bugfixes and improvements
