Stops uploading after a day or so

There is some sort of bug in the Node.js code that causes the code to get into a state where it thinks it's still uploading, so it doesn't try to upload again. The symptom is that the timer goes off, then the code reads the scale, then when it gets to the upload part, it skips the upload because it thinks an old upload is still in progress.
