Only handles last of multiple selections

If there are multiple selections (e.g., you selected many of the same thing with find-and-replace:select-next) it only seems to apply the pipe to the text of the last selection.

I'm not sure how to deal with this. Is it okay to run the command once for every selection?

I think that's the only reasonable way to handle this case.
