does this continue if you close all tabs and restart brave? i'm running beta on a first gen m1 mac and do not see this problem. |
Unfortunately, this is not a solution.

Any solution to this? I use brave with sync on mobile, linux, PC, and mac - but this is making it a deal breaker. |

According to
lsof | grep -i coreaudiod
, Brave is utilizing thecoreaudiod
service. It keeps consuming 10-20% of the CPU time and drains battery very quickly.Apparently Chrome and Firefox don't have this problem, although I don't use them due to other reasons.
Have tried all the workarounds scattered on the internet to reduce
coreaudiod
