whatsapp web not syncing in brave browser
also messages are not sending

Steps to Reproduce

1. login to whatsapp web

Actual result:

Expected result:

sync working

Reproduces how often:

Brave version (brave://version info)

1.57.57 Chromium: 116.0.5845.163 (Official Build) (arm64)

Version/Channel Information:

• Can you reproduce this issue with the current release?
• Can you reproduce this issue with the beta channel?
• Can you reproduce this issue with the nightly channel?
  For all three didn't check

Other Additional Information:

• Does the issue resolve itself when disabling Brave Shields?
  No
• Does the issue resolve itself when disabling Brave Rewards?
• No
• Is the issue reproducible on the latest version of Chrome?
• No

Miscellaneous Information:

Also tried disabling extensions but still same behavior

I believe it's a feature of WhatsApp itself. Did you try opening WhatsApp on your phone as it asks to continue syncing

@UriZafrir Thanks for trying it. I logged into WhatsApp Web by pointing my camera at the QA code, but I didn't run into any problems. How do you log into the website? (I'm trying to reproduce this problem.)

It does sync tho as of now
but the problem is that it doesn't sync in background

in chrome it syncs in background as soon as you open browser and listens for new messages even if you don't have the whatsapp web opened.
