Thanks @brianpetro for the awesome plugin. I've noticed in recent versions (since at least the last 2 weeks, possibly longer), header exclusions no longer seem to work. I have a header in each of my notes ("# Metadata") and I've tried phrasing this in various ways to get the plugin to exclude it to no avail. I've tried putting [Metadata] in the exclusion field, [# Metadata], ["Metadata"], ["# Metadata"] and none of these has worked, nor has the combination [Metadata,# Metadata,"Metadata","# Metadata"]. This means that all my new notes link to each other when their content isn't significantly longer than the Metadata categories. I did add this to another bug report but that's quite old so I suspect it'll be lost in the mist. I've tried doing Force Refresh a couple of times but am reluctant to try again for cost reasons!

Either way, it would be great to get some guidance on how exactly header exclusions work and how the text should be entered (i.e. does it need a "#" or quotation marks—just an example use case would make it much easier to understand).

Thanks again!

Also, it would be good to have guidance on whether a reset is needed after changing this setting; i.e. are the effects live or do they need a full block-level re-embedding once changed?

Hi @brianpetro, just wanted to say I'm still having the same issue—I have a header in each of my notes called "Metadata" and no matter how I try to exclude this from block embeddings, they always end up including it. Is there any way to resolve this?

Good to know.

Since March I've added new ways of testing this sort of thing, so I'm going to re-prioritize this and see if I can get a test-case working as expected. And I'm adding a link back to here to follow-up when I get to it.

Thanks for following up about this 🌴

Thanks so much man! I really appreciate it (and all of your amazingly helpful work). Let me know if I can help test it.
