If I have the stable water isotope composition of a soil layer and I want to now how rainfall events mix within this soil layers can I set a maximum possible distribution? So that one source (rainfall) can not be overrepresented (due to similar isotope values) with for example 40% of 100 L water in the soil if the initial rainfall was only 5 L?
Thanks,
Laura
