Hey bropat, it has been great experience working with you for last couple of years and you have been carrying all the burden of home assistant, home bridge, iobroker and many more for a long time.

I want to contribute to this library, but given it's sheer size and my limited knowledge on nodejs, i am hesitating.

Can you create a short documentation to help people like me to understand the structure of the library to speed up initial onboarding so I (probably some others) can contribute back here.

you are of course welcome to make a contribution. I can understand your hesitation very well ;)
This library has grown a lot over time and much of the logic has been modelled on the original (in hindsight, it may not always have been the right decision).

For some time now I've been struggling with the idea of changing one part to make it easier to get started (mainly the integration of new devices), but this would be at the expense of implementing new devices/features as my time is always limited. But this would automatically make documentation easier ;)

I will try to accommodate your request soon.
