Hello there!
This is a great piece of code and it looks to be currently in use by the OPNsense mdns-repeater plugin. It seems to only listen on the IPv4 address and doesn't handle v6 addresses.

This can cause issues with v6-only LAN's (like a Wi-Fi network) trying to communicate with dualstack or v6-only devices in another LAN (like an IoT network).

Correction: It looks like OPNsense is using the upstream https://github.com/geekman/mdns-repeater (broken link in your README btw!) which had a related issue that was closed due to the maintainer not being interested in implementing it. My apologies for the interruption.
