Is your feature request related to a problem?

Currently we do not do error handling and/or argument processing.

Describe the solution you'd like

Error handling (and maybe argument conversion) with a good report in case of errors at the top of the pyvmte interface.

API breaking implications

None.

Maybe separate error handling for estimation and identification is helpful, because arguments are somewhat different.
