Was curious if there was any consideration for having Troddit support Lemmy, the federated Reddit-like experience on the Fediverse, if Reddit decides to go ahead and kill off any viable access to their API for 3rd party apps? Troddit would definitely become the best UI for Lemmy that currently exists (for desktops at least) if this happened, might be worth looking into. If for no other reason to keep the project living on in spite Reddit's dumb decisions.

I haven't looked into the feasibility of this but it is definitely a possibility given they have an API wrapper.
If I (or someone) were to do this I would likely create a fork of Troddit and generalize its API integrations to support Lemmy or other alternatives more easily.
You should take a loot at this https://feddit.de/post/768790 . They're trying to make a drop in lemmy api replacement for reddit. Ideally you would need only change the url
