Will need to implement some way of extracting a confidence metric to assign to the taus values trialled. Probably based on one of the figures of merit that are calculated when searching.

Nominally addressed in #2 but still needs more consistency tests.

Adopted the "jerk" method as proposed by Young & Lam (2024) to selected the best tau value, and then uses the variance in those different figures-of-merit to arrive at some kind of sensible error.
