Rendering of fancy exponent in equations #14

An equation containing a decimal number will show it using "normal" characters for the exponent instead of the superscript.

Decouple fancy rendering and editing flags

This allows us to correctly render real numbers as formatted in
equations when presented on the stack, while at the same time
making it possible to edit them safely.

Fixes #14
