Did you run ./scripts/install-sdk.sh ? 'cause that should download the plugin (and others) from git, notably, https://github.com/c9/c9.ide.run |
Hi I am getting the same error when running "nodejs server.js". I am using the current github master branch and have called the ./scripts/install-sdk.sh script, which showed no errors. |
Does the file |
Nope, the directory c9.ide.run does not either, list of the plugins that do exist:

Then I'm pretty sure |
It says
So I deleted ~/.c9 and tried again:
|
Is this from running |
It is, just double checked. The first line still says
So maybe I should remove more files for it to start again? |
Hmm, so it stops after installGlobalDeps step in https://github.com/c9/core/blob/master/scripts/install-sdk.sh#L107 without showing any errors |
Yeah it stops right here: https://github.com/c9/core/blob/master/scripts/install-sdk.sh#L66 |
Ah figured it out. The NODE variable in the shell script is set to "node". On my system you have to call "nodejs". I am running "Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS". Now the script successfully runs till the end. The annoying thing I guess is that "node" is also a working command on my system, but seems to do nothing... I don't know enough about node/js yet to say whether this should be changed. |
For completeness, the "node" program in ubuntu is completely unrelated to nodejs, it's description: " ax25-node - Node front end for AX.25, NET/ROM, Rose and TCP". If it's not installed, you get a much more useful error message
