While #3441 made crossbows better, I question whether this property is desirable.
As you can see from the table above, I think it's too strong compared to other hand-made range weapons with similar game progression. It can feel like it's forcing other players to choose the crossbow.
For improvement, I would recommend lowering the numbers used for the crossbow, but not as high as they were before PR.
Increasing the values of other weapons could lead to data adjustments for monsters in the future, which could lead to an arms race between weapons and monsters, which would be very expensive to fix in JSON.
However, as much as I've given it a lot of thought, others may not be happy with the nerf, which is why I opened this discussion.
