(It does exist in older velruse (<1.0), but it appears that older velruse breaks current apex...)

The example app was never updated once everything was brought up to the current Velruse. I'll see if I can get that fixed today.

0.9.10 pushed to pypi fixes up on github.
I ran a few quick tests, but, will do a more thorough job checking it this weekend.
