I have the impression that GentiumBookBasic is old stuff and GentiumPlus is currently recommended: http://software.sil.org/gentium/download/

Gentium Plus only has roman and italic, no bold versions. It's identical (or indiscernable) from Gentium Basic for english text. Gentium Book is slightly heavier and works better when printed, IMHO.

We can proof-print different versions of a document to compare, but I wouldn't worry about that.
