Item 2: What we did

• Focused on learning about security capabilities of FastAPI
• Stepped through the beginning of the security tutorial in the FastAPI documentation: https://fastapi.tiangolo.com/tutorial/security/first-steps/

Item 3: Something we learned

• OAuth2 has several different "flows" one of them being the Password flow. This involves passing a username and password as part of the request, validating those pieces of information and responding with an access token.

• [13:46] FaradayFrank: Do python frameworks offer any advantage over javascript frameworks?
• [13:56] Hootenheimer: Less a question and more a comment. But as someone who's newer to this... I feel like I've sunk more time trying to figure out how configuration works when deploying an app than actually building a given app.
