Suggestion: Stat range search #3
Comments
I would recommend to change it to search in general not only about stats. For example:
i think this would really, really helpful. If you need help you can contact me http://bloodbrothersgame.wikia.com/wiki/User%3AMagichead Keep up your excellent work :-) |
You misunderstood how this app works. It doesn't have access to all the data in one place (like a local sqlite database file or a remote SQL server) Instead, it gets all the information about a single familiar by parsing that familiar's page on the wiki. So any attempt to "filter" or "query" ALL data about ALL familiar will be hard, if not downright impossible. Fortunately, there are some existing mechanisms on the wikia that I can use to do some basic data filtering, such as the wikia categories and the some familiar aggregation pages (like the tier lists) So in short, anything that has a category or is in an aggragation page can be used for filtering (like skill, evolution type, tier, etc.) Which also means that filtering by familiar stats is not possible. |
Too bad it's impossible. |
It would be possible if someone is willing to maintain an up-to-date database of all familiars. And by database I mean something like a SQL database. |
Don't think anyone would have that work for long time. |
Quoting Tresaquilas:
What would be great is a simple filtering system e.g. The stat the fams skill is based on and perhaps ranges of stats so you could filter for only 16k+ of a certain stat. Sometimes you don't know the name of a familiar you are after, just the sort of ability you want to see. Since these are pretty simple filters based on the data you already have I hope this could be possible?
