No more Windows builds? #97
Comments
@coolaj86 I ran into some issues with github actions on the latest release, but it's temporary. Windows builds will be back very soon. |
@Chmin Awesome. In the meantime would you mind doing a manual upload of the bare Windows binary for 0.7.5 using the 0.7.6+ naming convention? That way I can go ahead and have the powershell script correct and I won't need to change it when the Windows builds are flowing again. |
Some progress with the windows builds ? |
I realize you're busy, but just wanted to bump this back up as a reminder in case you have a little more time now. |
Is there anything a mere Windows user like me could do to expedite a resolution of this issue? |
Any news? |
Windows builds will be included with the next release (which will probably be around mid July) |
Hello!
I have a contributor working on adding
sd
to webinstall.dev and they were having some trouble, so I looked into it and noticed that you seem to have just changed release formats (from zip to bare binary) and that Windows seems to no longer be supported.I'd love to have
sd
onwebi
, and we're following the trend of using official 1st party releases from release APIs (such as Github's release API) rather than having custom (and potentially janky) 3rd party builds. For right now it looks like we should stick with 0.7.5 and below since that supports Windows.
