From issue report on Codeface (chrissimpkins/codeface#106):

I downloaded the latest zip on August 5th 2015.

I tried to preview the file Hack-Regular.otf but Windows errored, stating that it is not a valid font file. The >same error appears when I attempt to preview any of the Hack related .otf files.

I am unable to install any of the file also.

Diagnosis: build issue with cmap OpenType table. Working on a fix. Will post with updates when OTF files are available for Windows users.

OpenType tables were corrected and it installs without issues on Windows as of version 2.009

The new hinted TTF files in the development branch test_build directory are the ones that Windows users should use (v2.009). Install confirmed on Windows and they do not require any additional settings changes. In my testing on a standard def laptop screen, the glyphs are legible down to a pixel size of 7. The sweet spot seems to be pixel sizes between 8 - 12.
