Release 1.23
This is an experimental version of TweetDuck that has moved from .NET Framework to .NET 6. What does this mean?
- Modern .NET is getting new features and performance improvements, unlike .NET Framework
- This version of TweetDuck is self-contained, so there is no need to install .NET manually
- Installing TweetDuck on Linux and other operating systems via Wine is now trivial!
- But it doesn't seem to work on all distributions...
- Installation size has gone from 183 MB to 270 MB
- In the future, it might be possible to reduce this
- There might be bugs
I intend to continue supporting TweetDuck on Windows 7/8/10/11, and I also intend to support TweetDuck on other operating systems when installed via Wine (but may need your help, especially if it doesn't run at all).
Please try it out, and report any issues to https://github.com/chylex/TweetDuck/issues. Include your operating system and version with your report.
