Ubuntu VM ... running demo ... the prompt on the menu takes several seconds to popup. This makes entering stuff a little painful.

The app is constantly trying to validate its settings. The validator method for the URL tries to resolve the hostname portion of the URL. Was your VM on the network / did it have a proper DNS entry? It still shouldn't have blocked, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did. I will try to look into this. Thanks.

The VM had dual interfaces, one local only, the other on the network. Scanning a valid world-accessible site.

I got rid of the hostname validation. I think this should speed things up quite a bit.
