The 5 mm-or-so "ear" on both sides is really needed on one only - note the stock "Z Tensioner Bracket" A and B styles - and in my specific installation collided with an LED strip mount.
That plus an unrelated brim setting mixup (had internal enabled - no eyebrows!) led me to slice these after a quick hop in OnShape:

Yeah, having them on both sides is purely so that we only need one STL that you can print 4 of. But this comes with some possible downsides. If you submit a BZI usermod I'd be happy to accept it! And I'm not completely closed to the idea of changing the main BZI housings, but I'd like to see how it works out for folks as a usermod first.
