After the Terminology Sections, the Introduction can have as many other sections as the PP Author wants to write. Each new section should have the following form:

  <section title="Name of Section" id="sec-unique-identifier">
     ... arbitrary content ...
  </section>

Generally, the Introduction is used to describe the TOE and define the TSF to provide context for the subsequent sections on the security problem and the requirements.

In addition to Use Cases, Platforms, and Features, popular topics for Other Introductory Sections include:

  • Scope of Document
  • Intended Audience
  • Compliant Targets of Evaluation
  • PP Overview (required by CC:2022 to be somewhere in the Introduction)
  • TOE Boundary
  • TOE Operational Environment
  • Roles

Functional Packages generally have a Compliant Targets of Evaluation section, but generally no others unless there is some other issue related to the Package that requires clarification or explanation.
