I've been using this mod off and on for years, and an issue I've always had is that it would just randomly break sometimes. Cloud and storm generation would completely cease, and wouldn't resume no matter what I did to the settings. I've tried reinstalling the mod, creating a new world, starting old worlds without the mod then starting them again, etc etc. Today I finally found a solution to this issue, don't understand why it worked. I just went into the files of the save where the issue started, and deleted the weather2 and coroutil data associated with it. Upon restarting the world, the mod resumed working, even though my setting changes remained in place. I have no clue why this worked, but for those of you having a similar issue, try deleting the mod files associated with the save game itself rather than the mod files as a whole.

This sounds more like your hard drive has corruption, or maybe some bad RAM in your system.

It is also possible that the biome you're in is not a very hot and humid biome so storms don't generate as often either.

If none of these are the case then there may still be an issue with forge versions too. Make sure you're using 40.2.0 or later and let us know if this proceeds ^^

Also, 1.12.2 is no longer supported here, please try using weather2 remastered by mrbt0907. There's a GitHub for it too.
