What is the target variable for FinancialTimeSeriesTensorFlow.ipynb models

I am new to machine learning and came across this tutorial in google cloud API . I understood a little about your example but still have some doubts. What was your target vector for binary classification( accuracy=0.600694444444) and feed forward network model(Accuracy = 0.722222222222)? Did you carried out any kind of modification in the target vector such as scaling, shifting up or down etc? If yes how you performed it
